Founded in 1573, Queen Elizabeth’s is a selective, foundation school. Both the school and the sixth form are larger than average. The school is very popular and over-subscribed. Boys sit entrance tests to join the school in Year 7, with some places being allocated on musical ability. A much higher proportion than is the national average come from minority ethnic backgrounds. The percentage of students learning English as an additional language is also above average. The largest ethnic group, apart from White British, is Asian. Queen Elizabeth’s School 11 Plus Exam Format

The 11 Plus Exam format for Queen Elizabeth’s School is written by GL Assessment. The format is as follows

Paper 1 45 minute long English Paper. This paper includes 60 marks, including comprehension questions as well as some spelling punctuation and grammar questions
Paper 2 45 minute long Mathematics Paper. This includes 60 marks, all questions are multiple choice.

How to prepare for Queen Elizabeth’s School 11 Plus Exam
