Lancashire 11 Plus Exam Format

Background to the 11 Plus Exam in Lancashire

There are four Grammar Schools in Lancashire that children will need to take an 11 Plus Exam to get into.

Clitheroe Royal Grammar School

Lancaster Girls’ Grammar School

Lancaster Royal Grammar School

 

Lancashire 11 Plus Exam Format Details

In Lancashire Clitheroe Royal Grammar School and Lancaster Girls’ Grammar School both use FSCE (Future Schools Community Enterprise). The test covers the following topics:

  • English
  • Maths

The remaining Grammar Schools, Bacup and Rawtensall Grammar School and Lancaster Royal Grammar School have the same exam. The Exam is written by GL and involves three papers covering:

  • Maths
  • English
  • Verbal Reasoning
