Background to the 11 Plus Exam in Reading

There are three Grammar Schools in Reading that children will need to take an 11 Plus Exam to get into.

Reading 11 Plus Exam Format Details

At Reading Grammar School the exam is written by FSCE (Future Schools Community Enterprise).  The exam covers the following topics:

  • English
  • Maths
  • Creative Writing

At Kendrick School the Exam is written by GL and covers:

  • Verbal Reasoning
  • Non-Verbal Reasoning
  • Maths
  • English

At Reading Girls School the Exam is ran by CEM and covers:

  • Numerical Reasoning
  • Verbal Reasoning
  • Non Verbal Reasoning
