Background to the 11 Plus Exam in Birmingham

There are eight Grammar Schools in Birmingham that children will need to take an 11 Plus Exam to get into.

Birmingham 11 Plus Exam Format Details

In Birmingham the Grammar Schools have the same exam. The Exam is set by GL and their 11 Plus exams have two papers. Both papers will have sections covering English comprehension, Verbal Reasoning, Maths, Non-Verbal Reasoning, and Spatial Reasoning. Each paper is multiple choice and lasts approximately an hour.
