As Lincolnshire only has partial provision of Grammar School places competition for places is high.

All schools in Lincolnshire aside from Caistor Grammar School are part of the Lincolnshire consortium and therefore have the same exam set by GL Assessment in the form of Verbal Reasoning and Non-Verbal Reasoning. Caistor Grammar School has the same format of Verbal Reasoning and Non-Verbal Reasoning but has a different exam.
