Background to the 11 Plus Exam in Buckinghamshire

There are thirteen Grammar Schools in Buckinghamshire that children will need to take an 11 Plus Exam to get into.

Buckinghamshire 11 Plus Exam Format Details

In Buckinghamshire the Grammar Schools have the same exam. The Buckinghamshire 11 Plus test has changed from CEM tests to GL tests. The GL 11 Plus exams have two papers which cover the following topics:

  • Paper 1- This paper will focus English comprehension and Verbal reasoning. This paper will be 45 minutes in length.
  • Paper 2- This paper will focus on Mathematics and Non-Verbal reasoning. This paper will also be 45 minutes in length.
