When should we start English preparation?

Core English skills can be developed from year three onwards. This can include any of the core English skills…. Vocabulary… Comprehension…. Spelling… Grammar… Punctuation… Writing skills.

We’d suggest that most parents can focus on making sure their children are reading for at least half an hour a day as a start point. Beyond that suitable ways of helping children are included on the relevant page in the Forum. This information will help you decide which route to go down in supporting your child whether you are doing so during year 3, 4 or 5.

If you have questions which we have not addressed in our forum pages, please feel free to submit them via the form provided below.
